Looking to watch SHL in the US? The Swedish hockey league, it may not be as great as the NHL, but it does offer great hockey, with players that often end up playing in the NHL, and let’s not forget, the games are at different times, meaning more matches to watch.
...But the SHL isn’t nearly as accessible as the NHL, which we’ll fix in this SHL in the US guide.
There are two great options when it comes to SHL.
One is almost fully free, and the second at a cost, but in Swedish, if that’s what you are looking for.
The first method? It’s on a platform called Freesports.tv which is part of a British TV network, and that is the free platform.
The second method is a Swedish platform called C More, showing the SHL in Swedish.
Neither of these are available in the US.
Since Freesports is a free platform, it isn’t that complicated to unblock.
There are no weird registrations involved.
You just need to look like you are in the UK
...For that, you need a VPN.
VPN services? They allow you to change your location to be somewhere else, in a space of a few clicks.
The catch? That Freesports.tv must make efforts against VPN services because it doesn’t have the rights to show the content it shows, outside of the UK. And that means that a lot of VPN services don’t work with Freesports.tv.
