Swedish sporting platforms are expensive and often don’t show a big variation of content. If you watch DAZN in Sweden, you fix the issue, while paying just 1/3rd of the price of the likes of SportExpressen.
The catch? That DAZN isn’t available in Sweden.
But it is possible to make it work, and we are going over exactly how to do it, step by step, in this guide.
A super simple reason.
Just like with anything, it goes down to rights to the content.
If you want to show DAZN in Sweden, Ireland, the UK, Denmark, or wherever else, you need to pay.
That’s because rights to sport, they are sold individually to different regions, and most of the time, exclusively.
That’s why DAZN even though from the UK, wasn’t able to be in the UK for so long, and why it’s not also currently in Sweden.
It’s a super big investment to get rights to show the top leagues, but also it’s often not possible with other companies already having exclusive rights to show content.
DAZN is making changes as it is starting to launch worldwide, but for now, that is going to be limited to boxing.
If you want the entire package, that’s where connecting to the likes of Canadian, German, or Italian DAZN, comes in.
DAZN currently does not work in Sweden because it sees that you are not in a supported region.
...If you were in a supported region though, that would change everything.
How do you do it?
By changing your location virtually.
...Something you can do with a VPN.
Already tried a VPN, and DAZN didn’t work? That’s because a VPN by itself is not enough. Platforms like DAZN also have blocks in place to prevent people that use VPN services from using DAZN, as they have to.

For instance, if you connect to the German DAZN, and try to make an account with a Swedish card, it won’t work. (9/10 times, depending on your bank.)
Almost all guides on this topic don’t cover the solutions to the issue.
In the past, we discovered that signing up with the online bank Revolut did work.
...But there’s actually an even easier method of doing it. It’s to sign up for a DAZN account from your phone, via the DAZN app, which currently is not available in Sweden.
That’s why we’ll now go over how to get the DAZN app in Sweden, and how to register for an account through there.
After you have done that, you can, of course, sign back into your older account, and DAZN will still be there.
Why does this method work? As Apple collects payments from apps on their devices. That means no card blocks that DAZN has on their website.
P.S. Make sure not to change the region of your current account. That would result in you losing everything.
On Android devices, this works slightly differently.
Instead of creating a new account, you just need to change the region of your current account.
To do that, open up your Play Store, and click on the 3-bars on the top-left of the screen.
Next, go to your Account, and if you are connected to one of the DAZN PrivateVPN regions, your store will give you an option to change location.
...Do it, restart the Play Store, and then download DAZN.
Once you’ve done that, sign up for DAZN and a subscription directly from your phone, and just like on Apple devices, this will work as Google is in charge of the payments on mobile devices.
Of course, sports are best watched on a big screen.
The good news? You can watch DAZN in Sweden on a TV. The bad news? The options are limited.
Right away you will have to forget about smart TVs or platforms like Apple TV, Chromecast, or even Roku.
Those don’t support VPN services, thus don’t support DAZN in Sweden.
Here’s what we recommend instead for the best possible experience of sports on a big screen.
Either get an Amazon Fire TV Stick, which supports VPN services or otherwise connect a laptop to your screen via HDMI.
...Even better, get yourself a projector like the BenQ TK850 with 4K, HDR, and a specially dedicated sports mode that smooths out footage when watching sports, and connect either the Fire TV Stick or an HDMI cable to it.
That’s how you get the most out of DAZN in Sweden. Instead of 55’’, you can get up to 250’’.
As far as the Fire TV goes, if you only got one, register in a country that supports DAZN.
